    Volg het spoor van de Giro D’Italia route, de beroemde wielerwedstrijd van Italië. Dit jaar bestaat de wedstrijd driehonderd jaar en er wordt een speciale tour van veertig kilometer gereden van Radda naar Greve, dwars door de wijngaarden van de Gallo Nero. Bent u in de buurt op zondag 15 mei dan kunt u zich aansluiten bij de toeschouwers om de professionele wielrenners te zien rijden. Het beste punt om te kijken is net buiten Salivolpe, ongeveer 1 kilometer van Castellina. Hardcore fietsers zullen ongetwijfeld de route zelf willen proberen, kijk op onze speciale blog met kaarten.

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a red wine with a Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita status produced in the vineyards surrounding the town of Montepulciano. The wine is made primarily from the Sangiovese grape varietal (minimum 70%), blended with Canaiolo Nero (10%–20%). The wine is aged for 2 years; three years if it is a riserva.
