De ligging is ideaal voor wie de culturele en culinaire hoogtepunten van Toscane wil verkennen. San Gimignano met zijn middeleeuwse torens ligt op slechts 14 km afstand, en ook steden zoals Siena, Florence en Arezzo zijn gemakkelijk bereikbaar. In Colle val d’Elsa, bekend om zijn kristalglas, vindt u supermarkten, winkels en restaurants. In de nabijgelegen dorpen Campiglia en Le Grazie zijn enkele kleine buurtwinkels. Voor natuurliefhebbers is er het Parco fluviale dell'Alta Val d'Elsa met de 4 km lange SentierElsa-wandelroute langs de rivier – perfect voor een picknick.
La Capannina ligt rustig en landelijk, maar toch dicht bij alle voorzieningen. Het grote overdekte terras, met eettafel en zithoek, is ideaal voor ontspannen maaltijden in de buitenlucht.
Het natuurstenen huis met twee verdiepingen is met zorg ingericht en combineert traditionele elementen zoals terracottavloeren, houten balken en zichtbare stenen muren met kwalitatieve meubels en sfeervolle details.
De lichte, uitnodigende sfeer binnen zorgt ervoor dat u zich vanaf het eerste moment thuis voelt.

Similar to other reviewers, we were welcomed by the owner's father who only speaks Italian. We were from the UK and spoke zero Italian, which we made obvious but he still continued his tour in Italian -- so be prepared for that. We picked up enough on what he was suggesting, it didn't cause massive issues. The daughter, who speaks English, is contactable on WhatsApp so there's always help available if needed. The villa was great. The pool is what really sets this place apart as well as its remote location. The property is very spacious outside with more than enough room for many people. There are multiple towns nearby within 5-20 minutes away so it's a great hub for exploring. There are a few grocery stores within the nearby town, 5-10min drive, which we were very impressed with. The minor sticking point for us was that the indoor furniture and bed wasn't very comfortable. The furniture wasn't the type that you'd want to lounge back in as it wasn't very cushioned/comfy and the bed is very firm, in case you're not accustomed to that. Besides the above, our stay was still lovely and with the pool and price, we were content. Just sharing the above so others can set expectations, we'd still recommend this for folks!
