Casale Conte Jacopo 6 is een prachtig natuurstenen vakantiehuis met een historische kern uit de 17e eeuw. Het ligt in een rustige, landelijke omgeving en biedt een weids uitzicht over de heuvels van Noord-Umbria. De Toscaanse grens is slechts op korte rijafstand. Dankzij de royale binnenruimtes en het parkachtige terrein is het huis ideaal voor een ontspannen vakantie met familie of vrienden.

Het middeleeuwse dorp Agello ligt op slechts 1,5 km afstand en beschikt over een slager, bakker en een kleine supermarkt. Vanuit het dorp heeft u een indrukwekkend uitzicht op het Trasimeno Meer, het vierde grootste meer van Italië. De Umbrische hoofdstad Perugia, met haar middeleeuwse centrum en de ondergrondse vesting Rocca Paolina, is in 25 minuten bereikbaar. Assisi is eveneens een bezoek waard en Toscaanse steden als Cortona, Arezzo, Montepulciano en Siena zijn gemakkelijk te bereiken.

De vakantiewoning telt twee verdiepingen en ligt in een ruim, goed onderhouden park met volgroeide bomen. Het grote zwembad is een absoluut hoogtepunt. Een overdekte pergola biedt gelegenheid om buiten te dineren, en er is vermaak in de vorm van tafeltennis, jeu de boules en een speeltuin voor kinderen.

Het interieur is met veel zorg gerestaureerd. Zichtbare natuurstenen muren, houten balkenplafonds en grote open haarden behouden het historische karakter. De stijlvolle inrichting met vele antieke stukken zorgt voor een warme en authentieke sfeer.

The Villa was lovely, as was the pool and garden. It was let down by a huge lack of care about the basics. There was a lack of attention to detail. Coffee maker and kettle were provided, but where they were positioned in the kitchen meant that there was nowhere to plug them in. We had to move them to on top of the washing machine in room off the kitchen. The largest glasses provided held 150ml, not enough for a proper drink of anything. They left a bottle of wine for us but no cork screw or bottle opener, and when we asked for one it took 2 days for one to be delivered. There was nothing left in the kitchen, not even salt and pepper, and there was only one cooking knife which was blunt. The cutlery was mismatched and poor quality. The air conditioning was the last straw. When we arrived we were given the controllers for the air con. (In the paper work there was mention of an extra charge for aircon.) No mention was made of the cost at this time. The afternoon before we left we got a text asking for €210 in cash for the air con. When we said we didn’t have that amount of cash we were told to go to an ATM. We asked where the nearest one was and they said probably in the nearest town a 15 minute drive away. This was 4pm. We refused and so they accepted a bank transfer. If you are going to ask for cash you should warn people in advance.
